In the News...

A Special Thank You Note!

We had a very successful meeting on May 2nd!  We were introduced to a great new addition to Rockwood – Rosemary Anderson High School.  We heard a dynamic message from CEO Joe McFerrin II and we met our new business spotlight – The Sign Shop!

During the meeting, we were able to witness the power of the RBC at work – through the connections made at the RBC, Joe Rogers, Store Manager of 7-Eleven Store 35340 @ (182nd and Division) presented a check for $250.00 to the High School.  7-Eleven has a great program for stores to give back to the community through their Project A-Game program.  A program designed to support youth through local schools and sports organizations!

A special thank you from Joe McFerrin II after our last meeting held at the new East Campus of Rosemary Anderson High School!  Welcome to the neighborhood!

On behalf of Rosemary Anderson High School East, we thank you for attending the Rockwood Business Coalition meeting on Thursday, May 2nd. We enjoyed showcasing our new Rockwood Plaza facility and giving you a better understanding of how we reconnect alienated at-risk youth through education, career training and mentoring. We value our relationship with the community and look forward to collaborating together to continue to make Gresham a vital, safe and thriving community in which to live, work and play.

City breaks ground on new Police Station in Rockwood

Rockwood is sight of New Gresham Police Station!

Last Thursday, March 7th, shortly after our General Membership Meeting, the ground was broken for the new City of Gresham Police Facility and your RBC Board were present to witness this historical day!  We believe that this will be a huge positive for the whole Rockwood Community!

It was a great honor to have Chief Craig Junginger speak at our General Meeting ealier that same morning.  The Chief gave us some great insight into the new building, as well as statistics from 2012 and how business can keep crime minimized with best practices!  We appreciate the Chief’s valuable time!  You can access the 2012 Annual Report for the Gresham Police Department – Click Here.
